• Approve a draft law for a Personal Status civil code.
  • To be mandatory.
  • To be based on the Declaration of Human Rights that Lebanon participated in drafting.
  • To be compatible with religious rituals and ceremonies.
• Establish the Lebanese Senate.
  • It aims to safeguard the cultural specificities of citizens by monitoring laws and decrees, the performance of government and state agencies, and objecting to them if necessary.
  • It plays a role in the ratification of crucial decisions and the appointment of senior state officials.
  • It participates with the parliament in the trial of presidents and ministers.
  • To be directly elected by the people simultaneously with the parliamentary elections.
  • To be equally divided between Muslims and Christians.
  • A high constitutional, legal, and cultural competence is required to run for membership.
• Broaden the powers of the Election Supervisory Body and increase its human and logistical capabilities.
• • Increase the number of the Elections Supervisory Body’s members to include more representatives of civil society and associations known for their election transparency advocacy, as well as university professors who are not affiliated with any political party through membership or practice, and UN-appointed international observers.
  • Members of the Supervisory Body to be appointed by the Beirut and Tripoli Bar Associations and the Lebanese Judges Association.
  • Decisions and circulars issued by the Supervisory Body to be binding on the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities.
  • The Election Supervisory Body should strengthen its team by selecting volunteers or administrative personnel to be delegated at all stages of the electoral process, namely in primary and higher registration committees, in polling stations, and in signing all data.
  • The Election Supervisory Body should approve or reject the inspector appointed by the candidates.
• Lower the voting age to 18 years.
  • A nation that fears its youth is a failed nation since they are the catalysts of change and accountability.
