Our Values

Our goal is a prosperous, green and fair Lebanon, and to achieve it we must together eliminate the five wounds and express the virtues that correspond to them:

Citizenship: is based on considering the nationality as the first identity; it is an identity that has been carved over history and that stems from experience. Its principle is that “The stronger the country grows, so does the citizen and the principle of citizenship, and vice versa". It is the sole guarantor of equality and justice.

In the face of

Political sectarianism: is the product of a historical heritage from Lebanon, the region and the world in an era where identity was determined based on religious affiliation. It is mainly manifested through the transformation of positive multi-sectarianism into an authority that serves the sects’ leaders.

Integrity: is based on a moral conviction to respect the public interests and abide by the rules and regulations. Hence, the public funds become protected and used properly, the practices of corrupt employees and political intervention in their work are ended, and the judiciary prosecutes those who have embezzled public funds. In addition, the sources of illegal external financing are uncovered.

In the face of

Corruption: has spread out because of old practices inherited from feudal and Ottoman regimes. It is based on the use of influence and money to circumvent laws and regulations. It became unprecedentedly widespread after the end of the Lebanese war and one of its manifestations is its association with politics and politicians.

Democracy: liberates citizens from all inherited restrictions, promotes equality among citizens, achieves efficiency in public sector jobs, and eliminates illegal immunities and class discrimination.

In the face of

Feudalism: is synonymous with political inheritance regardless of competence and merit. In Lebanon, feudalism has become cloaked as a democratic state and is manifested in most sectarian parties. It is also manifested in ideological and national parties as demonstrated by their authoritarian leadership. Feudalism feeds both corruption and sectarianism, provides immunity for those who violate the laws, turns the public service into services offered by the feudal lord, and facilitates the dependency on foreign countries.

Rule of law: leads each person to fulfill his duties and access his rights without the need to obey anyone. It draws boundaries for the rulers’ authority while monitoring them, isolating and bringing them to trial if they abuse it. The rule of law gives the employee due consideration on moral and financial levels and is considered as a prerequisite for productive investments.

In the face of

Clientelism: came historically as a result of feudalism. It is a relationship of dependency between a figure of authority and a person with rights. It’s also used as a means of control by the political class to obtain and maintain loyalty. Clientelism manifests in elections through poverty and the need for money, infiltrates the system to slowly destroy the rule of law in both public and private sectors and ends with the humiliation of citizens.

Sovereignty: is the independence of political and security decisions from any interference outside constitutional institutions. The sovereign state reassures citizens and preserves the nation’s sovereignty. It also restores the connection between the Lebanese people based on citizenship.

In the face of

Dependency: is the acceptance of a country’s political control over Lebanon. Historically, it manifested with the end of the mandate. Sectarianism and feudalism contributed to its exacerbation with the dependency of a part of the Lebanese people on the West and another part on the Arabs. The polarization in world affairs has facilitated the non-emergence of a powerful state. One of the dependency’s most striking disadvantages is that it has crippled the work of constitutional institutions.

We are fully committed to these values and have therefore developed a code of conduct which provides guidelines for anyone affiliated with the National Bloc, requiring them to behave in a respectful and responsible manner in all aspects of their lives.
