Helou Welcomes French Ambassador at National Bloc Headquarters: Calls for Immediate Ceasefire, Implementation of Resolution 1701, and Presidential Election

The National Bloc released the following statement:

The Secretary General of the National Bloc, Michel Helou, along with Executive Committee members, welcomed the French Ambassador to Beirut, Herve Magro, at the party's headquarters in Gemmayzeh. The meeting focused on the critical need for an immediate ceasefire in both Gaza and South Lebanon.

The National Bloc stressed that implementing UN Resolution 1701 and reinforcing UNIFIL are fundamentally Lebanese demands, and called for Israel's adherence to facilitate effective border control operations.
Additionally, the Bloc articulated its stance on electing a sovereign reformist president, a crucial step for restoring functionality to Lebanon's constitutional institutions and initiating vital economic and financial reforms.

Helou expressed appreciation for Magro's visit, reaffirming his dedication to maintaining and enhancing France's constructive role in Lebanon, serving the shared interests of both Lebanon and France.
