“National Bloc” For Those Objecting Dukan’s Statement: You Have Entrapped Lebanon by External Financing

The “Lebanese National Bloc Party” considered that the statement of Pierre Dukan, the French envoy assigned to follow-up on CEDRE Conference, is a diplomatic reminder of Lebanon's failure to abide by the decisions of this conference, especially with regard to structural reforms to combat waste and corruption and an indication that funding is not imperative if the decisions are not implemented.

In a statement, the Party drew attention that those objecting on Dukan's statement considering it as a veiled threat to the sovereignty and a violation of Lebanon's dignity were those who placed Lebanon in this position and entrapped it by external financing.

The Party emphasized that carrying out these structural corrective measures will settle this disorder and put us on the right track exempting us from loaning and beggary in the future.
