A Visit of Solidarity with Prime Minister Salam and Support for the Government’s Decision
The National Bloc issued the following statement:
A delegation from the Executive Committee of the National Bloc visited Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to express full solidarity with him in the face of the accusations and defamation campaigns he has been subjected to; campaigns that ultimately harm both those who launch them and the political parties behind them.
The delegation also reaffirmed its full support for the government’s decision to confine arms to the state, a long-standing Lebanese demand that serves the supreme national interest and safeguards the country’s sovereignty, regardless of external pressures or demands.
In this context, the delegation expressed hope that the upcoming government session will achieve its objectives and implement this decision without delay or procrastination.
The delegation included Secretary-General Michel Helou, Party Council President Tarek Sakr, Head of Political Relations Camille Mourani, Lynn Harfouch, Hussein El-Ashi, and Lea Ghanem.
