The National Bloc: The Destruction of Our Villages Is Unacceptable
The National Bloc issued the following statement:
We are following with deep concern the circulating images showing the destruction affecting southern border villages, particularly the city of Bint Jbeil. We reiterate our absolute condemnation of the Israeli occupation and the destruction of Lebanese towns and villages carried out under labels such as the “buffer zone” or the “yellow line.”
We stress the need for both sides to respect the ceasefire, and we call on the Lebanese government to pursue the diplomatic track seriously and provide the necessary conditions for its success. This should lead to a definitive end to the state of war with Israel, ensure the extension of state sovereignty over all Lebanese territory, and secure the recovery of occupied Lebanese lands.
