The National Bloc released the following statement:
We stand by the right of Lebanese expatriates to vote in their original electoral districts, as was the case in the 2018 and 2022 elections. This is a constitutional right that must not be reduced or fragmented.
We firmly reject the idea of the so-called “six seats,” which only serves to entrench inequality. Any attempt to limit or contain the diaspora vote within a single district is a step toward emptying it of its meaning and stripping the voter of his legitimacy.
Instead, we call for practical measures: a smoother registration process, guaranteed access to passport renewals without delays, and polling stations abroad that are free of logistical and administrative obstacles.
