The National Bloc: Accountability for Violators, No Matter Their Status

The National Bloc regrets Hezbollah’s continued defiance of the law and its refusal to abide by legitimate state authority. It also deplores the party’s role in fueling hate speech against other Lebanese citizens.

While saluting the courageous and sovereign stance of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the Bloc calls on the Lebanese state to move forward, indeed, to accelerate, its efforts to ensure that all weapons are held solely by the state, to enforce the law equally on all Lebanese without exception, and to hold accountable anyone who violates or fails to uphold the law, regardless of their position or influence.
