The National Bloc released the following statement:
Today, many Lebanese are grieving, and we extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by the ongoing violence. We affirm that our fate as a people is united in confronting the escalating Israeli aggression.
The situation is extremely dangerous, and we are now facing two critical challenges: ending the war and safeguarding our national unity.
We must come together to push for an immediate ceasefire, based on international resolutions, particularly through the deployment of the Lebanese army across the entire country, and honor the sacrifices of everyone who contributed to Lebanon's liberation and independence.
The responsibility of the Parliament, and particularly of its Speaker Nabih Berri, is historic at this moment. They must immediately call for a ceasefire to protect Lebanon and its people, especially in the South, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.
