National Bloc: The Parliament is not a puppet in Berri’s hands

The National Bloc calls on parliamentary blocs to boycott the legislative session convened tomorrow by Speaker Nabih Berri, as this invitation comes at a time when the Parliament is ignoring the people’s priorities, foremost among them the electoral law and guaranteeing expatriates their full voting rights.

The Bloc emphasizes that the Parliament does not belong to anyone, and that the Speaker’s continued summoning of sessions devoid of reform agendas and constitutional obligations is a disregard for the legislative institution and the rights of the Lebanese people.
