National Bloc: The Final Word Belongs to the State

The National Bloc issued the following statement:

The National Bloc views very positively the course launched by the government on August 5, which has today led to the start of implementing the military plan presented by the Army Command, within the deadline previously set by the Council of Ministers. It hopes that all state institutions, ministries, administrations, and security agencies will cooperate to ensure the swift execution of this plan.

On the other hand, the National Bloc regrets that the Hezbollah–Amal duo continues to prioritize narrow partisan interests and foreign agendas over the supreme national interest and the well-being of the Lebanese people, especially the residents of the southern villages. This was evident today in their repeated attempts at obstruction and their renewed evasion of their national and moral responsibility to stand with the rest of the Lebanese in addressing the catastrophic consequences of the “support war” in which they played a leading role in dragging the country.

While congratulating the Presidents of the Republic and the Government for holding the session despite political blackmail, as well as the ministers who assumed their responsibilities without fear or hesitation, the National Bloc calls upon all Lebanese men and women to stand behind the Lebanese state and its national army, in order to confine arms exclusively to legitimate authorities and put an end to Israeli assaults and crimes.
