"National Bloc Calls to Declare the Iranian Ambassador Unwelcome"

The National Bloc extends its condolences to the Army Command and to the families of the soldiers who fell while performing their national duty. It affirms its solidarity with all Lebanese who believe in the state, standing united behind the official institutions to restore the state and fully extend its sovereignty over its entire territory.

However, as Iranian officials continue — one after another — to interfere in our internal affairs, openly and brazenly objecting to decisions of the Lebanese Cabinet aimed at protecting Lebanon and dismantling all militias, including Hezbollah, which is aligned with Iran; and after all diplomatic norms have been breached, particularly with confirmed evidence that their ambassador in Beirut possesses military communications equipment,

The National Bloc calls on the competent Lebanese authorities to summon the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in accordance with the Vienna Convention, and to immediately declare him persona non grata.
