The National Bloc: We hope that the Gaza agreement marks the beginning of a path toward peace in the region and the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The National Bloc issued the following statement:

The National Bloc shares the joy of the people of Gaza over the end of the war and the achievement of a ceasefire agreement. It emphasizes that the immediate priority is the full implementation of this agreement, in order to preserve what remains and ensure the swift and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.

The Bloc stresses the necessity of a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and an end to repeated aggressions, as essential steps to secure the stability and permanence of the ceasefire. It hopes this will mark the beginning of a genuine peace process in the region, leading to the establishment of a Palestinian state under Arab and international auspices.

The Bloc also calls for an end to the exploitation of the Palestinian cause for regional power interests, and urges that the well-being of the peoples of the region come first, drawing lessons from this painful experience to build a safer future for all.
