The National Bloc: Targeting Journalists is a Blatant Attack on Press Freedom and Human Rights

The National Bloc condemns the horrific war crime committed by Israel this morning against journalists in the town of Hasbaya.

Targeting media teams while they are carrying out their professional duties is a flagrant violation of press freedom and human rights, reflecting Israel's blatant disregard for international laws and their authorities.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims—Ghassan Najjar, Mohammad Rida, and Wissam Qassem—as well as to the media organizations they represented, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. We call on the Lebanese state not to settle for simply filing a complaint with the United Nations Security Council but to launch an international diplomatic campaign and take legal action to put an end to Israel’s impunity.
