The National Bloc released the following statement:
The electoral process in Beirut concluded yesterday, during which the people of Beirut expressed their choice. The National Bloc, while congratulating the new Beirut Municipal Council, hopes it will place the city's interests and the well-being of its residents at the core of its priorities.
Respect for democratic values requires everyone to acknowledge the will of the people. It also calls on us, as part of the “Beirut Madinati 2025” coalition, to conduct a serious and thorough review of the results and their causes.
We also extend our gratitude to everyone who placed their trust in us, and to all those who contributed to this campaign—candidates and volunteers—for their work, commitment, and efforts.
At the National Bloc, we will remain steadfast in our values and our mission to build a modern state that upholds pluralism, away from sectarian agendas.
