National Bloc: Shibani’s Visit Is an Opportunity to Establish Normal Relations Between Lebanon and Syria

The National Bloc welcomes the visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Assaad Shibani to Beirut and his meetings with Lebanese officials, viewing this visit as an opportunity to strengthen an atmosphere of understanding and cooperation between the two governments.

The Bloc also hopes that this positive climate will serve as an opportunity to address pending issues: from the file of refugees and the forcibly disappeared to the questions of borders and unfair agreements, paving the way for the establishment of normal relations between the two states, based on mutual respect for sovereignty and the pursuit of shared interests.
