Phillipe Helou

Philippe Pierre Helou was born in Beirut in 1955. He received his master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Applied Research from the University of California-Berkeley in 1977, and his MBA from the same university in 1978.

He is the General Manager and Business Development Officer at Murex SAS, in addition to being one of its founders. Murex has been present in the capital markets for nearly 30 years with more than 300 customers and 50,000 users in more than 60 countries. It is a multinational information processing company employing more than 800 young Lebanese engineers (it employs more than 2,200 employees of 60 different nationalities around the world). Murex has developed unprecedented competencies in the design and implementation of risk management solutions for the financial and capital markets of banks and financial institutions.

Philippe Pierre Helou travels around the world as a covert ambassador to the Murex Group in order to provide clients with the support they expect. Collective work, perseverance and the pursuit of optimal quality and performance constitute the principles of his work.
